HOW TO INSTALL THE VRX SOFTWARE ------------------------------- VRX software consists of these three main MultiMedia Toolbook v. 3.0 files: VENICE.EXE Virtual Venice demo VRX_A11.EXE VRX Author VRXPLY11.EXE VRX PlayerVRX software (and demo images) occupy almost 5 Mb. To install them, follow these steps: If you are using the MM Toolbook v. 3.0 runtime - Put the file VRX11.ZIP in the same directory of MM Toolbook v. 3.0 runtime - Unzip the VRX11.ZIP file keeping the directory structure stored in the compressed file (that is use the syntax PKUNZIP -D VRX11.ZIP) If you are using the complete MM Toolbook v. 3.0 - Create a directory on your hard disk and put the file inside (i.e. C:\VRX) - Make sure to have the Multimedia Toolbook directory in your path - Unzip the VRX11.ZIP file keeping the directory structure stored in the compressed file (that is use the syntax PKUNZIP -D VRX11.ZIP) We suggest you to start your VRX exploration from the Virtual Venice demo. To do so, use the Windows File Manager and double click on VENICE.EXE. The VRX Player is not a stand alone application. Run first the VRX Author to see the Player in action. 30/01/95 - Paolo Tosolini - tosolini@psicosun.univ.trieste.it˙
